aparto Diagonal Suites, Savia and Finsa materials throughout the building

The project Aparto Diagonal Suites is one of the most outstanding openings in the flex living sector in Barcelona in 2026. It is a building owned by Hines, which combines cutting-edge architecture with a flexible accommodation model (medium and long stay), designed specifically for students but also for professionals and healthcare workers.

A tower designed by Batlleiroig
The building, located in Porta Diagonal (Esplugues de Llobregat), has been designed by the prestigious studio Batlleiroig. It is an imposing tower of 22 floors and almost 100 meters in height that has become a new visual landmark at the entrance to Barcelona through the Diagonal.

-Organic facade: One of its defining features is the use of thermally treated wood ( Thermopine by Savia ) on the facade and balconies, which breaks with the rigidity of the concrete and provides visual warmth.

-Sustainability: The project was born with high-level ecological credentials, having received certification BREEAM Excellent and aiming for WELL Platinum, which guarantees quality indoor air and efficient energy management.

Functional and stylish interior design by Bernadí
The intervention of Bernadi (with over 60 years of experience creating workspaces, hospitality and other areas) has been fundamental in providing the building with functionality and style. Their work focuses on creating spaces that feel like a home but function with the efficiency of a hotel.

-Visual continuity: The use of wood (the same Thermopine by Savia as the facade) has been maintained in the ceilings of the reception and common areas of the ground floor, creating a fluid transition between the exterior and interior and providing a modern and elegant character.

-Furniture and equipment: In addition to the bedrooms and studios, Bernadí has ​​designed versatile spaces that include kitchen areas, coworking areas, meeting rooms and rest areas that foster community, something essential in the flex living concept of aparto.

To bring that vision to life, Bernadí used Finsa finishes, which are present in bedrooms, common areas and kitchens.

For the design of all these interior spaces, Bernadí once again relied on Finsa materials. Thus, in the bedrooms we can see how the design Soft III Gris Coco III is the main material, since beds, headboards, desks, chests of drawers, shelves and custom-made furniture pieces were made with it. In addition, in those rooms that have a kitchen, the post-formed worktop was installed. Fintop + with surface Roble Hera.

Wide variety of decorative surfaces in common areas
As for the common areas, the Finsa materials can be seen as soon as you enter the building. Thus, all the panelling and the reception counter were made with our veneer Chestnut. Meanwhile, many other designs from the Duo range are present throughout the building. It was used in the lobby itself Verde Salvia Soft III was used for the bench-divider and in the kitchen, bar, laundry, multipurpose rooms, yoga and study areas, among others decors such as Azul City Soft III, Soft Verde Arcilla Soft III, Roble Bello Mesura, Terracota Nova Soft III or Duna Soft III.
