Zafiro Alzinar Mar: hotel interior design and Mediterranean calm in Mallorca with Finsa materials

An oasis of well-being and design in the north of Mallorca
Zafiro Alzinar Mar is a four-star hotel offering suites with terraces and private pools, along with numerous amenities such as a semi-Olympic swimming pool, fitness area, and daily activities. It is located in Ca'n Picafort, a peaceful and welcoming coastal town in the north of Mallorca, very close to the beach and a 10-minute drive from the S'Albufera Natural Park. All of this makes it an ideal place for a few days of tranquillity, sun, and relaxation.

The Mediterranean imprint of Marga Rotger
The fact that this hotel is so welcoming is partly thanks to Marga Rotger, a Mallorcan interior designer specialising in transforming spaces with warm, functional, and Mediterranean-inspired design. She has already completed other projects for this hotel chain, such as the Zafiro Palace Andratx and the Zafiro Can Picafort, where she also opted for Finsa materials. As the designer herself summarises, the goal was to connect “with tradition, but from a modern perspective”.

Textures and shapes inspired by the Albufera of Alcúdia
In the case of Zafiro Alzinar Mar, Marga Rotger drew inspiration from the tranquillity of the Alcúdia lagoon, reinterpreting the hotel's Original architecture through curved forms, earth tones, and natural textures. Nature permeates every room, and light, colour, and texture combine to create an enveloping sense of calm and connection with the surroundings. Botanical murals, wood, and earthy tones are prominently featured in the 128 rooms. This combination of curves, fabrics, and Wood is also evident in the common areas, such as the restaurant and café.

Fibrapan® Decor with Tasmanian Natural, Crema Sil and Terracota Nova finishes
To achieve that inviting atmosphere that evokes the Mallorcan landscape, Marga Rotger once again relied on Finsa materials. Thus, the decorative surfaces of the Duo range feature prominently in both the bedrooms and the dining areas. Tasmanian Natural, with a Boreal finish, features a creamy, very soft eucalyptus design. Also available in the suites is Crema Sil in a Soft III finish, offering a very light grey that can be used as off-white, and Terracota Nova Soft III, which provides an intense terracotta tone, ideal for recreating those earthy tones of a Mediterranean atmosphere.
