Tsou Arquitectos, a studio with a minimalist and functional approach
Tsou Arquitectos is a contemporary architecture studio founded in Porto (Portugal) by architect Tiago Tsou. It is distinguished by a minimalist and functional approach, which prioritises space optimisation, strategic use of natural light and attention to construction details. They do everything from residential construction to retail establishments.

A modern pharmacy connected to its surroundings
Farmacia da Devesa, located between the green areas of Vila Nova de Famalicão and the urban centre, with direct access from Avenida do Brasil, clearly reflects the style of Tsou Arquitectos: it transforms a conventional pharmacy into a fluid, modern architectural experience connected to the environment.

The original building consisted of two offset rectangular volumes. The study unified the structure by adding a curved parapet that softens the facade and, functionally, intuitively guides the cars' journey to the service centre from the vehicle. Furthermore, a large part of its facade is glazed, connecting the interior with the street, attracting passersby during the day and becoming, at night, an imposing showcase flooded with light.

A cosy interior in white and oak
Inside, Tsou Arquitectos opted for an open space with light colours that is most appropriate for a healthcare establishment, while also managing to be welcoming. For this, he opted for classic white and light oak furniture.

Roble Oasis, an evolution of rustic designs
Specifically, they opted for the Oasis Atlas Roble Oasis, a board with a decorative surface from the Duo range, which shows an evolution of rustic and elegant designs. Its light natural tone has the character and essence of wood with knots and half cathedrals, but without falling into excess. This decorative element is applied to FibraPan® board.

This design was used in multiple applications: panelling, furniture, drawers, and displays. The result is an extremely elegant atmosphere and an optimised space that allows the entire range of parapharmacy products to be displayed clearly and neatly, avoiding visual clutter.
