Izarra Plaza: walnut-finish communal areas for a housing development in Estella

Abaigar: more than 60 years creating homes in Navarre and the Basque Country
Abaigar is a company specialising in the development, construction, and sale of homes for over 60 years, based in Navarre. Over these decades, they have built more than 4,200 homes, primarily in the Navarre region and the Basque Country.

Unlike many developers, it carries out its projects with its own technical and human teams, from the site manager to the specialised operators.

Izarra Plaza, a residential complex next to the Ega River in Estella
One of their recent developments is Izarra Plaza, located in Estella, Navarre. The project is centred around a large pedestrian plaza surrounded by landscaped areas, creating a meeting place and a space for residents to enjoy, as well as a calm and high-quality living environment. The development faces the Ega River and is a ten-minute walk from Estella's historic centre.

In the first phase, more than 40 homes were built: apartments, ground-floor apartments with terraces and penthouses with 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms with large windows.

Warmth and elegance in entrances and common areas with Nogal Fausto and Biscuit
For the common areas, landings, and entrances to the apartments, Abaigar Promoción y Construcción chose Finsa materials. One of the key elements is the Nogal Fausto design in the Etna finish, from the Duo range. This walnut-effect surface has a refined appearance, a mesh structure, and is free of any imperfections. Its toasted tone reveals rich colour nuances accentuated by the metallic tint, which adds dynamism to the design.

The Nogal Fausto can be found as soon as you enter the building, throughout the panelling and ceiling of the entrance, as well as on the mailboxes and surrounding cladding. It is also present in the panelling of the landings and on the stairwell doors.

Furthermore, Abaigar opted for a decorative surface board from the Duo range, Biscuit, in a Soft III finish, which provides a light beige tone. This design can be found in the panelling of the landings.

FimaPan® IGN: chromatic harmony and fireproof safety according to the CTE
Both Nogal Fausto and Biscuit are applied over FimaPan® IGN board, a particleboard with improved fire resistance (Euroclass B-s1,d0 according to EN 13501 for the base board). This allows the use of Wood in entrances, landings, and stairwells—emergency evacuation routes where the CTE Basic Document on Safety in Case of Fire limits the fire resistance of the cladding.
