To increase the company's energy savings and efficiency, it is proposed to replace three HIROSS brand dryers, models PGE900, PGE900 and PGN900, with a maximum absorbed power of 13.1 kW, 16.7 kW and 13.1 kW, respectively, with two new PNEUMATECH brand refrigerated dryers, model AC 4200 VSD.
The project will allow for an improvement in energy savings in the dryers, since on the one hand, the number of units will be reduced (from 3 to 2 dryers) and on the other hand, the new units use variable speed drive (VSD) technology which allows its operation to be adjusted based on the actual demand and therefore a significant saving in energy consumption is obtained.
Results in terms of energy savings and efficiency:
Energy savings: 282,400 kWh/year (final energy), 668,723 kWh/year (primary energy)
Reduction of CO2 emissions equivalent to 93.47 t/year
The investment is being made at the Finsa centre located in Rábade, within the framework of the INEGA's line of aid for energy saving and efficiency in Galician companies for the year 2025, co-financed by the European Union FEDER-Galicia Operational Programme 2021-2027.
