The energy-saving and efficiency project consists of the installation of an automatic board stabilisation system, which replaces the current operation, in which the boards are stabilised in the environment by placing the packages on pallets on the warehouse floor. The collaboration of the best equipment manufacturers in the sector was necessary, which will allow us to obtain significant energy and environmental savings in the process.
Results in terms of energy savings and efficiency:
Energy savings: 1,266,158 kWh/year (108.87 tep/year)
Reduction of CO2 emissions: equivalent to 237.48 tons of CO2/year
Location and financing: The investment is made in Rábade, province of Lugo, at the plant of Financiera Wood, SA, and has aid granted by the National Energy Efficiency Fund (Ministry for Ecological Transition) and the European Regional Development Fund (European Union) through the aid program for energy efficiency actions in SMEs and large companies in the industrial sector.
