To increase the company's energy savings and efficiency, the purchase of two E-80 electric forklifts for the logistics warehouse is proposed, replacing the H70 diesel ones, which favours the energy transition towards renewable energies. By replacing them with electric forklifts, less energy is required to operate, thereby reducing total energy consumption and decreasing dependence on non-renewable sources.
Results in terms of energy savings and efficiency:
•Energy savings: 297,686 kWh/year (final energy), 167,672 kWh/year (primary energy)
•Reduction of CO2 emissions equivalent to 89,474 t CO2/year
The investment is being made at the Finsa centre in San Cibrao das Viñas, within the framework of the INEGA line of energy savings and efficiency aid for Galician companies for 2024, co-financed by the European Union's FEDER-Galicia Operational Programme 2021-2027.
