The project consists of the implementation of a series of elements in the existing recycled material facility that will allow an increase in the use of recycled material in the board manufacturing process, resulting in a reduction of the final energy consumption per ton of product manufactured, linked to a lower energy demand in the drying process.
Results in terms of energy savings and efficiency:
-Energy savings: 5,462,054 kWh/year (469.74 tons of oil equivalent/year)
-Reduction of CO₂ emissions: equivalent to 25,845 tons of CO₂/year
The investment is being made in Santiago de Compostela, at the Finsa Santiago plant, and has the support granted by the National Energy Efficiency Fund (Ministry for Ecological Transition) and the European Regional Development Fund (European Union) through the aid program for energy efficiency actions in SMEs and large companies in the industrial sector.
