The project of Hotel Ibis Styles Madrid Airport Valdebebas, made by Dorotea Estudio, was one of the most talked-about openings of the Accor hotel group in Madrid in 2025. What makes this hotel stand out is its ability to transform a typically sober and functional "airport hotel" into a fascinating narrative universe.

Alice in Wonderland and Finsa boards, the combination that defines the project
The key to this hotel establishment is that Dorotea Estudio has structured the entire project around the theme of Alice in Wonderland, the classic by Lewis Carroll. Far from resulting in a childish decoration, they have opted for a sophisticated and surreal interpretation.

At the entrance, customers are greeted by iconic elements from the novel, such as the rabbit, and a vibrant colour palette that breaks with the industrial aesthetic of the Valdebebas area. Furthermore, every corner of the hotel, from the lobby to the hallways, plays with scale and fantasy.

As in other projects by Dorotea Estudio (such as the Ibis Styles Maravillas), the use of Finsa boards is fundamental to achieving that balance between aesthetics and technical performance of durability and resistance. Thus, we see that they opted for supports such as FimaPan®, FibraPan® and SuperPan® combined with different decorations, including colourful designs such as Soft III Rojo Arcilla III and Verde Oxford Soft III.

In fact, those two intense tones are the protagonists of the custom-made furniture in the 260 rooms: wardrobes, mirrors and television furniture. Thus, we have a cheerful and daring design that is also resistant to the high traffic of a hotel of this type.

Common areas: fireproof safety combined with design
Likewise, Finsa materials are present in the common areas, both in the reception area and in the cafeteria and buffet area. There, we find the designs Roble Trigo Etna, Soft III Verde Arcilla III and Soft III Petróleo, all of them from the range Duo. Furthermore, it is important to note that all of them are applied to fire-retardant supports to comply with regulations.
