Exaspace, versatile offices with the elegance of Roble Oasis
Modularity and design: Flexible architecture
The project Exaspace, designed by the renowned Estudio Alegría (led by Ignacio Alegría and Manuel Such), is an exclusive and multipurpose space located in a penthouse in the heart of Madrid, specifically at Calle de Alcalá, 4, a few meters from Puerta del Sol. This project stands out for being a hybrid between a luxury office, a space for corporate events, and a set for audiovisual productions.
The oak tree that gives character to the space
Estudio Alegría has applied its signature style, blending classic elegance and functional modernity to transform what was a conventional penthouse into a sophisticated environment. The design seeks a balance between the welcoming feel of a luxury space and the operational efficiency of a business centre.
To achieve this, they have opted for large windows that flood the rooms with natural light and oak surfaces for both the floor and panelling, desks and shelves, maintaining a clean and balanced aesthetic.
A design that allows for multi-purpose use
Although the space was conceived by Estudio Alegría as an interior design project for corporate offices, its versatility allows it to function as a showroom and corporate events space, as well as a set for filming audiovisual productions. In fact, scenes from well-known streaming platforms and television interviews have already been filmed at Exaspace, with the Puerta del Sol in the background, which can be seen from its terrace.
Roble Oasis Atlas, the design that brings balance to surfaces
For the panels and work surfaces, Estudio Alegría chose Roble Oasis Atlas from the Duo range by Finsa, applied on Fibrapan® board.
It is a design that has the character of wood with knots and half cathedrals, but with a light natural tone that prevents the space from feeling cluttered. Rustic and contemporary styles coexist without either one winning out, which was essential in a project designed for such different uses.
The ground that closes the circle
To ensure the overall look was coherent from floor to ceiling, the interior designers completed the project with Finfloor Original Glamour Oak. The subtle contrast between the slats and the Dry Touch finish adds a natural feel without competing with the rest of the surfaces. In a space where visual continuity is part of the argument, the pavement does its job without attracting more attention than necessary.
