The overall objective of the project is the development of digital inspection tools for the entire production process of wood-based panels, including digital twins at key points in the process, to predict and reduce the formaldehyde content and mechanical functional performance of the board, as well as the design of new optimal board configurations and the reuse of agroforestry residues.
Developed at the Finsa factory in Cella in the province of Teruel, DIGIECOBOARD is financed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation through the State Research Agency by the State Programme to Promote Scientific and Technical Research and its Transfer, of the 2021-2023 State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan covered by the Next Generation funds.
