Montessori School in Valencia
The Hermes School in Valencia, designed by Dobleese Estudio, is an example of how interior design can enhance a pedagogical approach, in this case, the Montessori methodology. The project seeks to create an environment that fosters autonomy, exploration, and active learning in children.
The school's overall aesthetic is defined by its luminosity and clarity, with a predominant palette of soft, neutral colours. White and beige tones, along with the warmth of wood, take centre stage, creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere that invites concentration and well-being. This colour choice also helps reduce distractions, allowing children to focus on activities and materials.
This result is achieved thanks to the use of materials such as our Fibraplast Hickory Frida Boreal, applied to custom-made furniture to create a bright and welcoming atmosphere.
The design of this work transcends mere functionality to become an extension of the educational process. Each corner is designed to be a resource for child development, creating a space where beauty, calm, and an invitation to activity intertwine.
