Luso Finsa has devised this project with the aim of establishing the technical and technological conditions for the production of wood-based panels with superior environmental sustainability.
To this end, the project envisages the implementation of a range of state-of-the-art technologies with high capacity and efficiency for processing wood waste, with a view to its subsequent incorporation into the manufacture of wood-based panels.
In addition, research and development activities are planned for new formulations of SuperPan® and chipboard panels, with the aim of achieving an incorporation of up to 90 per cent recycled material in these panels, without compromising their quality or physical and mechanical properties.
As such, the investments in question represent not only innovation in terms of product and process, but also a strategic commitment to environmental sustainability and long-term competitiveness.
